The UllrGrass Band Contest will be held at Cervantes Other Side in Denver on Thursday January 23, 2025.. Submissions are due by Dec31, 2024 and Finalists will be announced on Jan 7, 2025.

The Band Contest is a FREE event and open to the public, so come on down to the brewery and enjoy an evening of LIVE MUSIC.

The winner of the UllrGrass Band Contest will be offered a Main Stage set at UllrGrass 2026. We are holding Fireside Sets for Runners Up and participating bands as well.

Finalists (9 bands) will be selected to perform a 3-song set at Cervantes Other Side in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. The winner will be announced immediately following the contest.

The contest is open to string bands and non-string bands alike. The judging will be based on the “instrumental performance", “vocal performance - including use of harmony", and “overall performance". Favorable consideration will also be given to bands performing original songs (bands should introduce their original songs as such).
